Little Wonders Early Childhood Development Center

Update from Little Wonders ECDC

Happy November to all. First and foremost, a new staff person has joined our team. I would like to welcome Patrice Spencer to our center. Patrice began with us as a Niagara County Youth Employment worker in our Prek3 room. She fit in so nicely that I asked her to stay on and become part of our team. She is in training right now, so you will probably see her in all the rooms. Please join us in welcoming her to the center.

Thank you to all the families that participated in our Kids Stuff coupon book fundraiser. I don't have an exact total yet, but it seems we did pretty well. For each book sold, we received 50% of the profits. If you have any books left, or didn't happen to sell any, please return them as soon as possible or you will be charged for them. We have to return them to the company.

In other news, please remember that we are closed Thanksgiving Day and the day after. Invoices are out for the month of November, which reflect the days off.

We are also beginning our Thanksgiving food drive. Outside each of the classroom doors is a box for you to put the non-perishable goods in. Please help us provide families in need this Thanksgiving season. The class that collects the most will receive an extra special treat from me.

Finally, make certain you are checking your daily notes to see if you need to bring in supplies for your child. Diapers and wipes are a must, as well as changes of clothing. Please make certain to bring in warmer clothes if you haven't done so already.

Enjoy November as we all prepare for the snow!

Close personal attention will be given to each child, allowing them to grow and develop at their own pace. Our focus is to provide a stimulating early care and educational program which promotes each child's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Our goal is to include children in every aspect of learning, to essentially become life-long learners. This is in keeping with our vision of being God's love with our neighbor in all places.
